Visakhapatnam,March 28 Flashmail News Publications : The vibrant Cultural Festival at Andhra University Convention Hall, the audience was transported across continents as Tejan Macavoray, a student of the Department of Journalism and Mass communication, delivered a compelling cultural presentation on his homeland, Sierra Leone.Held at the Andhra University Convention Hall, the event brought together students from diverse backgrounds to celebrate global cultures. Tejan’s presentation stood out for its depth, emotion, and authenticity, offering a vivid glimpse into Sierra Leone’s rich heritage, resilient history, and vibrant traditions. Through a blend of story telling and cultural expression, he highlighted the journey of Sierra Leone—from its historical struggles to its enduring spirit. He spoke about the country’s music, languages, and traditions, emphasizing how cultural identity continues to thrive despite past adversities. His narrative struck a chord with the audience, many of whom were hearing about Sierra Leone in such depth for the first time. The pre se zntation also reflected the growing international presence at Andhra University. Currently, a total of 38 students from Sierra Leone are pursuing their studies at the university, contributing to its multicultural academic envi ronment. Their presence not only enriches campus diversity but also fosters cross-cultural under standing among students. Faculty members and fellow students lauded Tejan’ seffort, describing it as both informative and inspiring.
