AU Engineering College Emerges Champions in Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament

Visakha Sports, November 12: The two-day Inter-Collegiate Men’s Basketball Tournament, organized under the auspices of the Andhra University Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, concluded successfully on Wednesday at the AU Silver Jubilee Grounds. In an exciting final match, Andhra University Engine ering College defeated Pragati College of Physical Education with a score of 48–42, securing the championship title. The Engineering College team displayed remarkable coordination and skill, ensuring their victory in the closely contested encounter. In the match for the third-place playoff, AU Arts and Commerce College triumphed over AVN College with a score of 46–41, earning a well-deserved win. Former President of the District Basketball Association B. Ramayya, Head of the Department of Physical Education Prof. A. Pallavi, and AU Director of Physical Education Prof. N. Vijaya Mohan ,presented prizes to the winning teams. The event witnessed the participation of Dr. Gopikrishna (AVS College AED), Dr. Y. Srinivasa Rao (Head, Physical Education, Bullayya College), Dr. Ramakrishna (Former Director, Department of Physical Education, GITAM University), Dr. Lakshman Reddy, Dr. Dilip, Coach Ramachandra, and several student athletes.
