International Workshop on Managing Emotions and Inner Peace Held at IIAM, Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, March 4 Flashmail News Publications :A one-day International Workshop on “Managing Emotions and Inner Peace” was successfully conducted at the IIAM Visakhapatnam, bringing together academicians, management professionals, and spiritual thinkers to discuss the importance of emotional balance in personal and professional life. The workshop featured Prof. Matt Perelstein, President of EQ4PEACE Worldwide Inc., USA, as the chief speaker. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Perelstein emphasized the growing importance of Emotional Quotient (EQ) in today’s complex world. He noted that while intellectual intelligence is essential, the ability to manage emotions, respond calmly to challenges, and cultivate empathy plays a crucial role in effective leadership and harmonious social relationships. Prof. Perelstein stated that emotional balance is the foundation of inner peace, and individuals who develop emotional awareness and self-regulation can contribute to building more peaceful families, organizations, and societies. He added that cultivating inner peace at the individual level is a vital step toward achieving sustainable global peace, which is the core mission of EQ4PEACE Worldwide. Dr. S. P. Ravindra, Chairman of READ Group of Institutions and IIAM, highlighted the importance of integrating emotional intelligence with management education. Prof. V. Krishna Mohan, Director General of IIAM, spoke about the institute’s commitment to promoting innovative learning programs that blend academic knowledge with personal development. Prof. C. Krishnaveer Abhishek, Vice-President of EQ4PEACE Worldwide Inc., USA, stressed the importance of emotional awareness in leadership and community building. He explained that emotional stability enables individuals to make thoughtful decisions, handle conflicts constructively, and foster a culture of cooperation and peace. Dr. Victor Babu, Vice-Chancellor of Princonser University, Dr. Sarabandi, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak, and several academicians and experts, who discussed practical approaches to stress management, emotional regulation, and cultivating inner peace in daily life. A significant highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the (IIAM), Visakhapatnam, and EQ4PEACE Worldwide Inc., USA. The agreement aims to promote collaboration in academic programs, workshops, training initiatives, and research activities related to emotional intelligence, peace studies, and leadership development. The workshop concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their views on emotional management strategies and the role of educational institutions in promoting a culture of peace and well-being.
